The FabricationPlanning.UnfoldPolygonsIntoPlanarStrips node requires a 2D array of polygon nodes. In addition to arranging the polygons into planar strips, the new polygon array allows you to apply colors to the interior and exterior edges. Using the polygon node array it is possible to color code the polygon layout to match laser cutter template colors. The geometry can then be exported as a DGN or DWG file for cutting.

In the example below, the original surface was populated with a point grid from which a polygon was created; this later unfolded into a new model coordinate system.

You can identify each polygon by turning on the construction visibility of both the original polygon array and the unfolded polygons.
